Album Notes & Community Reviews

Translating to 'We Are All Equal Tonight', Ivan Lins' 1977 effort is a masterclass in the sophisticated melodicism of MPB. The arrangements boast lush orchestrations and intricate harmonic structures, effortlessly blending regional Brazilian rhythms with the grandeur of baroque pop. Lins' impassioned vocal delivery and socially conscious lyricism cemented his status as a vital voice during the Brazilian military dictatorship.
