Album Notes & Community Reviews

Providing a stark, incredibly polished contrast to the dominant grunge aesthetic of the mid-90s, Ivy's debut 'Realistic' is a flawless masterclass in sophisticated indie-pop. Driven by Dominique Durand's breathy, Parisian-inflected vocals and Andy Chase's pristine, shimmering guitar arrangements, the album perfectly bridges twee pop melodicism with subtle shoegaze textures. It firmly established the New York trio as leading purveyors of highly romanticized, incredibly slick alternative pop.
