Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by its enormously popular, upbeat title track, 'But It's Alright' showcases J.J. Jackson's boisterous vocal energy and sharp songwriting. Unusually for an American R&B hit, the title song was recorded in the UK with a backing band of prominent British session musicians. The album is a joyous, highly danceable slice of 1960s soul that capitalized on his breakthrough success.
