Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on his gravelly vocal delivery and unparalleled ear for melodic R&B choruses, 'Pain Is Love' launched Ja Rule to pop superstardom. The record perfectly balances heavily polished, club-ready anthems with surprisingly passionate, introspective reflections on urban struggle and relationship turmoil.
