Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by the fluid baritone saxophone of Bob Gordon, the leader crafts an exceptionally tight, intricately arranged West Coast session. The contrapuntal horn charts highlight a cerebral yet deeply swinging approach, capturing the intellectual refinement of the mid-century California jazz scene.
