Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reinforcing his status as a titan of traditional jazz trombone, 'Jazz Great' finds the veteran leader effortlessly steering a Dixieland revival ensemble. The incredibly relaxed, slurring technique and casual vocal interjections maintain the buoyant, unpretentious spirit of early New Orleans polyphony.
