Album Notes & Community Reviews

Completely ignoring the buoyant, working-class narratives of the Britpop explosion, the London-based ensemble crafted an intensely lush, highly romantic chamber-pop masterpiece. Anthony Reynolds's dramatic, heavily cinematic lyricism is enveloped by sweeping string sections, sophisticated piano melodies, and deeply atmospheric guitar work. The remarkably ambitious, orchestral scope earned them overwhelming critical praise despite remaining a deeply obscure cult favorite.
