Album Notes & Community Reviews

Distinctly out of step with the fading lad-rock culture of the era, the critically acclaimed British group delivered an intensely romantic, string-drenched sophomore album. Frontman Anthony Reynolds guides the grandiose, cinematic art-pop arrangements with a theatrical baritone that recalls the dramatic flair of Scott Walker and Jacques Brel.
