Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following severe personal trauma and vocal chord injury, former Doll by Doll frontman Jackie Leven returns with an incredibly majestic, highly deeply poetic solo album. 'Forbidden Songs of the Dying West' weaves complex, highly literate folk-rock narratives heavily informed by Celtic mythology and modern despair. The record showcases his remarkably rich, deeply resonant voice supported entirely by lush, beautifully textured acoustic arrangements.
