Album Notes & Community Reviews

Diverging slightly from his highly polished pop crossover hits, the legendary vocalist leans into a collection of blues-drenched numbers and intense rhythm and blues ballads. His astonishing vocal range and operatic melisma elevate the standard chord progressions, injecting them with immense, gospel-fueled drama. The album serves as a potent reminder of his foundational, deeply soulful roots.
