Album Notes & Community Reviews
A solo outing by the Kassav' co-founder and guitarist, 'Euphrasine's Blues' takes its title from his mother's name and sets his guitar at the center of a stripped zouk setting. Desvarieux had co-founded Kassav' two decades earlier, the Guadeloupean band that created modern zouk, and the album reads as a personal footnote to that collective project.
