Album Notes & Community Reviews
Jacques Brel continues to elevate the French chanson tradition with his incredibly theatrical, biting lyrical delivery. Peeling back societal hypocrisy, the record bounces dynamically between sarcastic, playful romps and devastatingly poetic, melancholic ballads.
