Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released as a sprawling, ambitious double album, 'Hell' finds James Brown at his absolute creative peak, seamlessly bridging his classic, raw funk foundations with more expansive, socially conscious arrangements. The record masterfully traverses from intense, driving dancefloor burners to deeply romantic ballads, showcasing the tight, telepathic interplay of his J.B.'s ensemble.
