Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to navigate the shifting musical tides of the late seventies, the Godfather of Soul integrates contemporary dance rhythms into his established groove. 'Jam 1980's' leans heavily into extended, brass-heavy instrumental vamps that attempt to bridge raw rhythm and blues with the emerging disco craze.
