Album Notes & Community Reviews

Acclaimed jazz saxophonist James Carter honors the legendary Django Reinhardt with this vibrant, acoustic-driven tribute. 'Chasin' the Gypsy' embraces the energetic, swinging rhythms of gypsy jazz, trading traditional brass sections for nylon-string guitars and accordion. Carter's dynamic, deeply respectful arrangements successfully bridge contemporary jazz sensibilities with 1930s Parisian flair.
