Album Notes & Community Reviews

Written and recorded during a period of intense personal turmoil following a divorce, the Alabama songwriter delivers a masterpiece of modern outlaw country. Heavily praised for its introspective, world-weary lyricism, the album signaled a major commercial and critical rebellion against polished mainstream Nashville production.
