The Wimbledon-born singer-songwriter's sophomore album heavily expands his unique hybrid of acoustic indie pop and rapid-fire, hip-hop-inflected vocal delivery. Backed by a full live band, the record sheds some of the lo-fi charm of his debut for a more polished, anthemic, and rhythmically diverse sound. The highly infectious songwriting captured the restless, working-class energy of late-2000s London youth culture.
