Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Swedish pianist establishes his crystalline, melancholic approach to the piano trio format on this early career release. Merging the rhythmic sensibilities of American modern jazz with a distinctly cool, Nordic harmonic palette, the ensemble crafts a highly lyrical and reflective session. It laid the crucial groundwork for his later, immensely successful explorations of Swedish folk music.
