Album Notes & Community Reviews
Fusing the rhythmic groove of funk, the sheer volume of heavy metal, and the sprawling ambition of psychedelia, 'Nothing's Shocking' broke immense ground for the alternative metal movement. Perry Farrell's eccentric, shrieking vocals and Dave Navarro's soaring, effects-heavy guitar lines create a uniquely hedonistic, drug-fueled atmosphere. It stands as a vital, highly energetic bridge between 80s hard rock excess and the introspective 90s alternative nation.
