Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Loveless', the instrumental collective Japancakes entirely reimagines the legendary shoegaze album by My Bloody Valentine. The recording strips away the original's massive walls of distortion, substituting them with lush, pastoral arrangements and pedal steel guitars. This ambient pop reinterpretation highlights the underlying melodic brilliance of the source material while maintaining a soothing, atmospheric calm.
