Album Notes & Community Reviews

Athens, Georgia band Japancakes play instrumental post-rock that absorbs alt-country into repetitive guitar figures. 'The Sleepy Strange' is mellow and pastoral, its pedal steel textures giving the record a Southern calm unusual in the genre.
