Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in the immediate aftermath of Swans' initial dissolution, 'Anhedoniac' serves as a deeply personal and harrowing exploration of psychic pain and isolation. Jarboe constructs a ritualistic atmosphere utilizing stark vocal deliveries, unsettling tape loops, and abrasive textures to chronicle themes of trauma and emotional numbness.
