Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reuniting with star producer Dave Cobb, the acclaimed songwriter broadens his roots-rock sound to encompass sweeping, 1980s-inspired heartland rock anthems. Thematically, Isbell navigates the complexities of maintaining sobriety, the responsibilities of parenthood, and the ghosts of his past. The record's impeccable storytelling and stadium-sized hooks further cemented his position as a preeminent voice in modern Americana.
