Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving an astonishing thirteen years after his breakthrough mixtape, the elusive rapper's debut studio album acts effectively as a collaborative project with an uncredited JAY-Z. The record is deeply entrenched in the theology of the Nation of Islam, featuring dense, esoteric lyricism over obscure, often drumless soul loops. While highly anticipated, its unconventional structure and religious focus proved both fascinating and polarizing.
