Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his highly successful run of electric jazz albums, 'A Taste for Passion' pairs Jean-Luc Ponty's searing electric violin solos with slick, meticulously arranged synthesizer backdrops. The compositions are highly melodic and less frenetic than his earlier works, emphasizing a polished, accessible approach to late-seventies fusion. The stellar backing band provides an airtight rhythmic foundation, allowing his virtuosic leads to soar effortlessly.
