Album Notes & Community Reviews

This commanding recording tackles the formidable technical challenges and icy, atmospheric romanticism of the Finnish composer's sole concerto. The soloist balances fierce, virtuosic intensity in the outer movements with a profound, brooding lyricism in the central adagio. The release stands as a vital, mid-century reference point for the Scandinavian masterwork.
