Album Notes & Community Reviews

Surprise-released on New Year's Day, the indie-punk veteran's third solo album channels the overwhelming political anxiety and exhaustion of the late 2010s. Recorded secretly in the Catskill Mountains, the incredibly anthemic record balances massive, guitar-driven pop-punk hooks with sprawling, synthesizer-heavy intros and deeply pessimistic lyricism. It is widely considered a defining, intensely relatable document of modern American dread.
