Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released concurrently with his revealing memoir, the Wilco frontman delivers his first true solo album consisting entirely of new, original material. The incredibly stripped-back, acoustic-driven record heavily addresses themes of aging, the death of his father, and enduring marital love through his signature raspy, remarkably empathetic vocal delivery. It was widely celebrated as a gorgeously unadorned, profoundly comforting culmination of his decades-long songwriting career.
