Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following the massive commercial success of 'Red Octopus', 'Spitfire' solidified the group's transition from 60s psychedelic pioneers into highly polished arena rockers. The album relies heavily on slick, melodic soft-rock ballads and soaring AOR anthems driven by the dual vocals of Grace Slick and Marty Balin. It achieved immense platinum success, becoming one of their fastest-selling records.
