Album Notes & Community Reviews
Artis Wodehouse converted twelve of Morton's piano rolls from the mid 1920s into digital data, editing note by note against his phonograph recordings, and played them back on a nine foot Yamaha Disklavier grand. The sessions, produced and engineered by Max Wilcox at the American Academy of Arts and Letters in New York, include 'King Porter Stomp' and 'Grandpa's Spells'.
