Following the official dissolution of Rilo Kiley and a period of severe insomnia following the death of her estranged father, Lewis returns with her most straightforward, polished solo record. Co-produced heavily by Ryan Adams, the album relies on sunny, pristine 1970s soft-rock instrumentation to mask deeply vulnerable, confessional lyricism regarding heartbreak and aging.
