Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to reclaim his throne amidst the British Invasion, the famously wild pianist delivers a ferocious set of unadulterated, boogie-woogie-driven rock and roll. Recorded with a blistering intensity that rivaled his legendary 1950s Sun Records output, Lewis tears through early rock standards with defiant swagger. While largely ignored commercially upon release, it stands as a triumphant, unrepentant defense of his musical legacy.
