Album Notes & Community Reviews
The major-label debut from the immensely talented session player fully introduces his dazzling 'claw style' fingerpicking and charismatic, swamp-infused vocal delivery. The production successfully balances his raw, syncopated acoustic guitar mastery with the polished, orchestral flourishes of the 1960s Nashville Sound. The album established Reed not just as a virtuoso instrumentalist, but as a formidable, highly original country-pop songwriter.
