Album Notes & Community Reviews
Building on the disco foundation of its predecessor, 'That! Feels Good!' expands into funk, soul, and house, with co-producers Stuart Price and James Ford crafting a maximalist soundscape of syncopated basslines and rich brass sections. Ware delivers a commanding vocal performance that is both theatrical and celebratory, using soaring melodies and witty spoken-word passages to explore themes of pleasure, community, and unapologetic escapism. The critically acclaimed work, which earned a Mercury Prize nomination, was praised for its meticulous blend of genre revivalism and bawdy, confident songwriting.
