Album Notes & Community Reviews
Pivoting emphatically toward rustic British folklore, Ian Anderson steered Jethro Tull into a lush, heavily acoustic phase that resulted in this beautiful, highly celebrated masterpiece. 'Songs From the Wood' is an intensely pastoral, delightfully pagan progressive rock album that intricately balances highly complex, melodic flute arrangements with deeply uplifting, nature-worshipping lyricism.
