Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking her first full-length project in over a decade, Jill Scott's 'To Whom This May Concern' consolidates her foundational neo-soul sound while weaving in elements of jazz, funk, and hip-hop. The album's production, featuring longtime collaborator Andre Harris alongside DJ Premier and Trombone Shorty, creates a polished and expansive soundscape for Scott's renowned vocal performance and spoken-word poetry. Lyrically, the work is a confident and reflective exploration of self-assurance, ancestry, and community, augmented by guest appearances from artists like Tierra Whack, JID, and Ab-Soul.
