Album Notes & Community Reviews
Originating from the fervent Cambridge folk scene, Jim Kweskin & The Jug Band single-handedly sparked a nationwide revival of 1920s string and jug band music. The album features a wildly eclectic array of acoustic instruments鈥攊ncluding washboard and kazoo鈥攄elivering highly energetic, humorous takes on vintage ragtime and country blues. It served as a massive influence on the good-time, communal aesthetic of the incoming counterculture.
