Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally commissioned as a sound installation for an exhibition in Paris, the legendary avant-garde composer presents a single, uninterrupted 33-minute piece. O'Rourke weaves intricate musique concrète tape manipulation around sparse piano and atonal brass, creating massive dynamic shifts from near-silence to overwhelming density. It is a masterful, deeply suspenseful exercise in tension and acoustic spatial awareness.
