Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Jim Payne & Kelly Russell' pairs St. John's singer Jim Payne with fiddler Kelly Russell for a programme including Payne's own 'The Rig Worker's Alphabet' alongside traditional Newfoundland material. Payne plays six and twelve string guitars and mandolin while Russell plays fiddle, bouzouki, concertina and tin whistle, with Eric West and Janis Spence completing the sessions, which the duo produced themselves.
