Album Notes & Community Reviews
Teaming entirely with Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong for production duties, the legendary Jamaican reggae icon delivers an astonishingly vital, career-revitalizing album. The recording deliberately eschews modern digital gloss, utilizing vintage analog equipment to perfectly capture the bouncing, horn-heavy aesthetic of classic 1960s ska and rocksteady. Featuring a prominent cover of The Clash's 'Guns of Brixton', the record brilliantly bridges the historical connection between traditional reggae and punk rock energy.
