Album Notes & Community Reviews

Making an incredibly rare leap for an emo band to a major label during the mid-90s, the Arizona group delivered a highly energetic, emotionally volatile sophomore release. Jim Adkins and Tom Linton heavily share lead vocal duties, perfectly balancing aggressive post-hardcore dissonance with deeply sentimental, highly melodic punk hooks. It laid the crucial, formative groundwork for the massive commercial explosion of third-wave emo that they would soon lead.
