Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by its colossal, highly influential title track, this album captures the tenor saxophonist delivering a raw, remarkably greasy iteration of modern jazz. Jimmy Forrest's honking, R&B-drenched saxophone style on 'Night Train' served as a massive commercial bridge between the dying big band era and the emerging dominance of early rock and roll.
