Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during an incredibly fertile European tour, 'Visits Paris' captures the highly sophisticated, incredibly fluid guitar stylings of Jimmy Raney. Collaborating with prominent French musicians and fellow American expatriates, he delivers complex, linear bebop improvisations with a distinctly cool, unruffled tone. The session is revered as a peak demonstration of mid-century modern jazz guitar.
