T'aint No Big Thing But He Is... Jimmy Reed

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Defined by a hypnotic, incredibly relaxed walking bass groove and slurred, highly conversational vocals, the artist continues to dominate the electrified midwestern blues sound. The sparse, repetitive harmonica lines and undeniable rhythmic pocket proved massively influential on the emerging generation of British rock and roll musicians. The collection perfectly distills his laid-back, commercially potent approach to the 12-bar format.
