Album Notes & Community Reviews

Teaming the premier Hammond B3 organist with Claus Ogerman's massive big band arrangements, this project reimagines contemporary film themes and pop standards. The massive brass sections provide a dramatic, cinematic backdrop for the organist's furious, blues-drenched improvisations. The record proved highly successful, definitively establishing the organ-led large ensemble format as a commercial powerhouse.
