House Party

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Drawn from a pair of highly productive, marathon jam sessions at Manhattan Towers, this energetic date captures the Hammond B-3 master leading two distinct, star-studded lineups. The extended, blues-heavy tracks prioritize deep grooves and relaxed, deeply conversational soloing from giants like Lee Morgan and Lou Donaldson over strict compositional boundaries. It flawlessly encapsulates the vibrant, sweat-soaked atmosphere of a late-night club blowing session.
