Album Notes & Community Reviews

Czech multi-instrumentalist Jiří Stivín delivers a highly intricate fusion of historical European classical forms and avant-garde jazz improvisation on 'Alchymia Musicæ'. The album masterfully weaves centuries-old Renaissance melodies and modern classical composition techniques directly into open-ended, highly fluid jazz structures. It stands as a profound testament to his unique ability to bridge vast historical gaps within experimental acoustic music.
