Album Notes & Community Reviews
Stepping out as a primary leader, the foundational Count Basie drummer pilots an elite ensemble including Count Basie himself (under a pseudonym) and Emmett Berry. The session is a masterclass in subtle, propulsive swing and dynamic brushwork, perfectly illustrating his profound architectural influence on modern jazz rhythm.
