blurrr

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'blurrr', Joanne Robertson crafts a world of solitary melancholia through sparse and dreamlike indie folk, blending hushed avant-garde textures with a raw, improvisatory feel. Her fingerpicked guitar and whispered, often indistinct vocals establish an intimate, lo-fi atmosphere that is further textured by the hazy, treacly cello contributions of collaborator Oliver Coates. The album balances this stark instrumental framework with a more focused songwriting approach, exploring themes of private introspection and loneliness with a quiet, potent intensity.
