Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during an extended stay in Mexico following his departure from the United States, the architect of bossa nova delivered an incredibly intimate, stripped-down masterclass. Stripped of lush string orchestrations, the album relies purely on his whispered, flawless vocal phrasing and impossibly complex acoustic guitar rhythms. It is celebrated as one of the most rhythmically sophisticated and subtly beautiful recordings of his entire career.
